A community radio, ‘Vaagad Community Radio’ will be broadcasted by Vaagdhara. The voice of the radio, 90.8 FM will reverberate in the ears of about 1 lac 80 thousand families covering the range of 35 km. It will reflect the art, literature and culture of Vaagad region. Besides this, it will also help in educating the children of the region.

“In India today, 4% of our children never start school. 58% don’t complete primary schools. And 90% don’t complete school,” reports Teach for India. Vaagdhara, is encouraging education among the children through their ‘Vaagad Community Radio’. It will help students in preparing for Board examinations. Students will be able to clear their doubts in the question hour on the radio. It will be a great source of encouragement for the children to continue or to begin their studies.

The radio will become a source to share the talent and specialisation of experts of the region with the society. Several programmes will be broadcasted which will include ‘Sachchi Kheti’ for farmers, ‘Sachcha Bachpan’ for kids and ‘Sachcha Loktantra’ for adults of the region. The radio will act as an open forum for the community to share their thoughts and ideas.
