Jemli Bai, a member of the Bhil tribal community, lives in Borikhera hamlet in Rajasthan's Banswara district. A decade ago, she and her husband worked as migrant laborers in various cities across Gujarat.
She remembers those days as a time of great hardship. "Sometimes we were paid very low wages," she recalls, "and other times we just stood, waiting for an employer who never showed up." She lived in makeshift huts surrounded by mud, where even cooking was a struggle.
